Spring Greenkeeping Update

Spring is now in full flow out on the golf course and although we are experiencing below seasonal temperatures the course is progressing nicely.
Most parts of the course have been treated with selective herbicide to kill off weeds such as daisies, clover and dandelions. There is still a few areas of rough left to spray but I shall treat these when we get another window in the weather.

The greens have already been tined and scarified and we shall be overseeding shortly followed by a light topdressing. Again these processes depend entirely on the weather conditions.

The wildlife on the course seems to have significantly improved this year with the return of the swallows as well as an increase in population of ducks, geese, skylarks and a number of deer are seen regularly each morning.

If you have any questions about golf course maintenance then please feel free to approach me.

Happy Golfing
